For sale is my 1976 Chevrolet Corvette.
Its an original 4 speed (manual) car. It no longer has its original numbers matching engine. The 350 small block that it currently has is a GM crate motor from the mid 90s. It seems to have very little wear and is in excellent condition. I replaced the heads with aluminum Dart SHP heads and converted it to a roller camshaft. It has a Lingenfelter roller cam and Crane roller lifters. I also converted it to programmable fuel injection (MicroSquirt), but I can put the carb back on it for those that dont feel comfortable with FI. The motor runs very strong on 87 octane gas.
The interior is in very good shape with a lot of new (and expensive) interior components. It has new: Door panels, console, dash pad, header panels, and carpet.
The suspension has also been mostly rebuilt with polyurethane bushings all around. It also has new VBP springs all around (330lb composite in the rear and 450lb GT springs in the front), and VBP high caster control arms in the front. It has new Bilstein Sport shocks all around. The car handles excellent. The only bushings in the suspension that havent been replaced yet are trailing arm bushings.
It has a new brake master cylinder and two rebuilt calipers in the rear, and a few new SS brake lines.
The only thing this Vette needs is a paint job. The body is in excellent condition (with fiberglass bumpers front and rearno old, wrinkly urethane bumpers.) You can still see the original factory bonding strips. Many Corvette bodies have been ruined over the years by bad body work. Its easy to destroy the original, crisp lines with bad sanding by people who dont know what they are doing. This Corvette is one of the few that have NOT been ruined yet. This is really one of the best features of the car, though many people may not realize it.
This corvette is an all-around nice, fun, fast, good handling and braking car with a nice interior and rare 4 speed manual. Most of these cars that you will see for sale are ragged out. This one has had almost all the important things done to it that it needs to be an excellent driver. The main thing it still needs is paint.
